Tomb Raider II is an action-adventure platformer developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive on November 21, 1997. The game once again follows the fearless archaeologist Lara Croft as she embarks on a globe-trotting quest to uncover the ancient Dagger of Xian, a powerful artifact said to grant the strength of a dragon. Players explore richly detailed environments—from the Great Wall of China to Venice and Tibet—solving puzzles, battling enemies, and navigating treacherous terrain. With improved graphics, smoother controls, and more varied gameplay than its predecessor, Tomb Raider II is often regarded as one of the standout titles of the PlayStation era.
