A deep-sea research team encounters a prehistoric 75-foot megalodon shark while exploring the Mariana Trench. When the giant predator escapes, oceanographer Jonas Taylor is recruited to stop it before it wreaks havoc on nearby beaches and marine facilities. The team must face the deadly shark in high-stakes underwater and surface confrontations.
