Spyro the Dragon is a 3D platform adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment on September 10, 1998. The game follows Spyro, a young purple dragon, on a quest to rescue his fellow dragons who have been turned into crystal statues by the evil Gnasty Gnorc. Players glide, charge, and breathe fire across vibrant, open worlds filled with secrets, collectibles, and whimsical characters.
