Nintendo Famicom

  • The Famicom uses a custom Ricoh 2A03, 8-bit, 1.79 MHz processor based on the MOS 6502, with 2 KB of Work RAM and 2 KB of Video RAM. It features a resolution of 256x240 pixels and has a palette of 52 colors, with 64 sprites possible but a limited number on screen at once. The system supports five sound channels and uses 60-pin cartridges for games, connecting to television via RF output.
